Hi! My name is Simone and I'm from Quebec (the french speaking part of Canada) :)

I'm currently taking a gap year before starting college to visit new places and learn to live differently.

I spent a month in Peru last summer with a friend, and, as I fell in love with both the culture and landscapes, I made a promise to myself to come back to Latin America and to learn to speak spanish fluently. This is why I have decided to travel around south America for a few months, starting in Colombia this November!
Volunteering as a way to travel is for me a huge opportunity to immerse myself in new cultures and connect with people, which is what I seek.

I grew up in a big city but I love to be outside as much as possible. Always down for a hike, trekking, camping or any activity that leaves you muddy!

I have worked in construction with my grand-father so I have pretty okay manual skills and I would love to continue to develop those skills by working in a farm!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a student and I've just finished studies in a general program of sciences and arts.

I worked as a lifeguard but I mostly give swimming lessons to kids. I love taking care of kids, teaching and being in the water.

I also worked in renovation with my grandfather and helped with the construction of a familial cabin.

Above all, I learn fast and I am super motivated!!
