Hello I’m Sam 👋

For so long I’ve wanted to have experiences that will take me off the beaten path and out of my comfort zone. Now, after a lot of waiting and second guessing I finally feel like I am doing it!

I have so much love for the experiences and emotions that come with traveling - the beautiful places, fun times, new friends, problem solving, and self reflection. I’m excited to keep going!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a bachelors degree in Geography, Environment and Geospatial Analysis (I love maps!), and I have experience in data management and administration. I recently finished a 6 month administrative public sector contract in Wellington.

Prior to that, I worked as a garden center associate, and before that I worked for an orchid grower as a plant caretaker, salesperson, and floral designer.

I have also been involved in volunteering opportunities as an animal caretaker for my home county’s wildlife rescue, and as a land stewardship volunteer for the local land trust.

I especially enjoy any work with a creative aspect to it, but I’m also very happy doing detailed computer work, repetitive tasks of all kinds, cleaning & organizing, and working outside on the land or with animals!

I really love rocks and geological sites and make a point of seeing them while traveling 🪨🏜️

I’ve also somehow developed quite a strange, binary taste in music - I listen to Kpop, classical, and very little else 😅🎶

I love going to the symphony or to any other classical music performances and events whenever I can!
