Description

My name is Marie and I am 19 years old. I live in the south of Germany with my family and passed my A-levels in July of this year. In school I learned a lot about psychology, pedagogy and social, which interested me a lot. Additionally I am a very sportive person: I play soccer in the local woman-soccer team; I love yoga, running and hiking. Because of this interest I have benn on a 7-days hike through the Alps with my friends this summer. I am alos very interested in working with children. Therefore I am part of the youth group of the chruch in my town. Once a year we are going on a journey with the children. Mostly in a small house in the black forest. In the last three weeks I worked in tennis summer camps for kids as a supervisor, which made me very happy. For making money I am working in the kitchen of a small restaurant for 5 years. I am working with many young guys there, which is a lot of fun. Therefore I love cooking and working with fresh vegetables and fruits.
With thanks to my parents I have already seen a lot of Europe. We have been on holidays every year, sometimes on a city trip and also often in the Alps or at the sea. Due to this experience I am very interested in travelling. I love trying out new things, meeting new guys of different cultures and especially trying out the tradicional foods. Because of this I am doing a gap year. In the end of October I am going to fly to Sydney, Australia. Overthere I want to travel and visit the beautiful places of the Eastcoast. In the beginning of january 2026 i am going to fly to New Zealand. Overthere I would love meeting families and helping them in their daily live, for example with the children, in the kitchen or with houshold chores. I want to have my own workaway experience with a good mix of travelling the country and getting in touch with the locals.
