I'm Vanessa and I am originally from Chicago but now I go to college in Miami. I grew up in the suburbs but loved living near a city, which is one of the reasons I chose Miami. It's the perfect location: continuing to live in the suburbs but so close to the city and beach! I grew up with a single mom and my sister, the three of us are very close and I really value my relationship with them. Miami has my heart, Chicago will always be home, but I am so excited to explore more places around the world and find new cities and people that fill my heart!

I am looking to expand my horizons through traveling and experiencing places other than the ones I have always known. Honestly, connecting with people and learning about their experiences and stories is something that I would say makes life the most rich. I love exploring new cities and sceneries and have a very go-with-the-flow mentality. I live presently and embrace every moment, finding magic in every day. I love learning new things, helping people, and making the lives of those around me better. Gratitude is the #1 thing for me and I am so grateful for the opportunities that await! To travel, to learn, to connect, to live.

I am looking to improve my Spanish and learn other languages. I love yoga and nature and hope to one day get my 200-hr yoga teacher (hopefully aerial silks and acro yoga, as well) training certification in another country. I'm also interested in holistic health and healing.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I enjoy creative tasks such as painting, calligraphy, coming up with a new yoga flow routine, and music-mixing. I just bought my first set of DJ decks so learning how to do that has been my latest personal endeavor! I also have experience using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere Pro to edit photos and videos.

I have been doing yoga for years and recently got into aerial and acro yoga!

I am a 4th year student at University of Miami (pursuing Bachelor's degree) studying health science with minors in education, sports administration, and human & social development. With the variety of things I am studying, I have a background in science, nutrition, psychology, how people learn, and how people and communities work and interact. But for now, I want to travel and experience as much of the world as I can while helping and connecting with others in the process.

I love working with kids and have 4 years of experience being a recreational cheerleading coach for elementary-aged girls. I have years of experience working in different customer service jobs such as front desk of a university dorm building, front desk of a yoga studio, cashier/juicer at a juice shop, and even being a caretaker for a woman with Parkinson's.

I have a driver's license and have been driving for 7 years.

I am very adaptable and love to learn new things, connect with new people, and spread positivity!
