Hello, my name is Rosa and I'm a 24-year-old Portuguese student currently studying Psychology. I have a passion for cinema, photography, and exploring new cultures. I also have experience working with surf therapy NGOs.

In the past, I had the opportunity to work with an NGO in São Tomé that focused on surf therapy. It was an amazing experience that allowed me to learn more about how the ocean and surfing can positively impact people's lives, particularly those struggling with mental health challenges.

Currently, I am working with another surf therapy NGO in Lisbon. This work has reinforced my passion for using surfing as a tool for improving mental health and well-being.

As a curious individual, I'm always seeking out new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. As a psychology student, I'm particularly interested in understanding human behavior and how we can work together to create a better world.

In addition, I'm a creative person who loves to put my ideas into practice. Whether it's through photography or filmmaking, I'm always looking for ways to express my creativity and tell stories.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I recently graduated from ISPA with a degree in psychology, where I gained valuable knowledge and skills in human behavior, research, and therapeutic practices.

After completing my degree, I had the opportunity to work with Soma Surf, a nonprofit organization that uses surfing as a tool for social and emotional development. During my six months with the organization in São Tomé, I gained experience in organization, teaching and coordinate which helped me develop my communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.

Currently, I am working as a mental health technician with Wave by Wave, another fantastic organization that promotes mental health and wellbeing through surfing and other outdoor activities. In my role, I provide critical thinking of the clinical cases , which allow me to use my psychology knowledge and skills to help others in a meaningful way.

Outside of my professional work, I have had a variety of experiences that have helped me develop important skills and qualities. For example, I worked as a host at the São Luiz Theatre, where I gained valuable experience in customer service and hospitality. I also worked at a clothing store, where I developed my sales and customer relations skills. In addition, I have experience coordinating events for corporate clients, which has helped me develop my organizational and project management abilities.

Overall, I believe that my background in psychology, experience working with Soma Surf and Wave by Wave, and various other experiences have given me a well-rounded set of skills and abilities that make me a strong fit for a variety of host opportunities. I am a hard worker, a quick learner, and a passionate advocate for mental health and community engagement, and I am excited about the possibility of working with you!

I've always been fascinated by the power of analog photography to capture the beauty and complexity of the world around us. I love experimenting with different film stocks, cameras, and techniques to create unique and expressive images that convey a sense of mood and emotion.

In addition to photography, I'm also deeply interested in anthropology and the study of different cultures and societies. I love reading about different tribes and their traditions, beliefs, and practices, and I'm always looking for new opportunities to explore and learn about the world around me.

When I'm not taking pictures or reading, you can often find me playing quizzes with friends and family. I love testing my knowledge on a wide range of subjects, from history and literature to pop culture and current events, and I always enjoy a good challenge.
