Hello, my name is You Lim. You can call me Chloe :) I am passionate about both travel and volunteerism. For me, traveling is not just about seeing new places; it's an opportunity to connect with people, immerse myself in different cultures, and embrace the richness of various traditions. The thrill of exploring new languages and learning about the unique customs of each country has always fueled my curiosity. Traveling has a remarkable way of broadening my perspective, allowing me to better understand how people from different parts of the world live, relate to one another, and celebrate their differences. I find great joy in exploring the hidden gems of local communities, beyond the typical tourist destinations. What truly motivates me is the power of volunteering, which unites people with a shared commitment to help and support one another. The act of giving back to the community resonates with my core values, and it is a driving force in my life. I am constantly inspired by the love and empowerment that comes from connecting with others in a meaningful way. As I pursue this volunteer opportunity, I am excited to continue striving for greater goals, fueled by my love for exploring new horizons and my passion for making a positive impact on the world. I am a super music-lover as well. I would love to share my passion for music and culture with you : )

I have been a keen learner of different languages and I love that you can learn so much about the unique culture through learning different languages. I am a fluent in English and Korea as my two native languages. I have been teaching English for close to 15 years, some experiences include tutoring, teaching at English schools in Korea and more. I have also been learning French since I was in middle school through an immersion program. I am still learning and hope to improve my French level through my Workaway experience. My goal is to become a fluent French speaker :D I know basic Chinese (mandarin) from learning in University and my exchange student experience to Taiwan for a semester.

Music is my passion, and I have been playing at church for over 10 years. I love to play the piano, sing, and play the guitar. I also like to do recording in my spare time and make videos of song covers. I work as a performing arts program manager, hence, I love all genres of performing arts, including classic ballet, musicals, opera, orchestra, and more. I also enjoy travelling the world, with my family and my friends. I have visited more than 20 countries either through volunteer work, internships, church outreaches and personal travels. Meeting new people and experiencing their culture through day-to-day life is a huge motivation and fuel for my life.
