Hi I'm Matilda! I recently graduated university and am faced with the dreaded "what's next?"

I've decided to spend this year working on my practical skills, hopefully delving more into my interest in sustainable living and ecological projects. I moved to Scotland 4 years ago, and can't get enough of it. I love hiking, backpacking and camping - and am hoping to explore more of Scotlands beautiful outdoors.

I'm currently living in Edinburgh, and am looking for a workaway during August, to escape the chaos of the fringe festival! I'm pretty flexible and easygoing, and am willing to give anything a go!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I'm interested in the idea of self sufficiency and permaculture projects - at the moment I'm really into foraging, natural dyes and basket weaving. I have various gardening experience, and love getting my hands dirty. I recently did 3 months at a workaway restoring a nuclear bunker, where I learned how to use a digger, and other random power tools.

I'm a creative person, I just graduated from art school so I've got a good eye for detail and anything related to painting or decorating. I have experience with festival decor + set painting - if you're wanting a mural I'd happily oblige! My main interest is printmaking though, and in the last year I've been leading many workshops on sustainable printmaking. I feel strongly about making the arts more accessible, and love teaching everything I know.

I have extensive customer service experience, having worked in a food truck, cafe, shop and pub.

I'm looking to learn any new skills, I'm not fussy!

I love all music! I played the violin for years (though I'm a bit rusty now) and currently drum in a samba band. We play at protests and demonstrations, to bring a bit of energy!
