Hello!
My name is Pauline. I grew up in Malaysia and had a great time experiencing the mix of both East-West cultures. I enjoyed both Hollywood and Bollywood and all the other cultures from South-East Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. I am Chinese by ethnicity but grew up in a wonderfully tri-lingual and mixed-race (Chinese/Indian/Malay) society in Malaysia.
I am a 60 yo semi-retired medical interpreter (English-Mandarin). I love my job as I not only get to provide language help, but I feel I can provide a sense of comfort and safety for my LEP patients, and most of them are elderly patients.
I love Nature the most and I love everything related to our beautiful planet Earth. I’m interested to work in farming, gardening, childcare, house chores, pet sitting —oh yes I am a big time doggie lover!! :)) I would love to learn any new skills.
My biggest joy with workaway was getting to know all the hosts and workawayers!! They are all incredibly kind-hearted, open-minded, fun-loving, nature-loving, talented people! I love the balance of spending wonderful time with hosts and workawayers, helping the hosts with different kinds of work, and having some free time to explore the local surroundings. I also love all the cultural sharing of our different life experiences, including all the delicious local foods made by host families! And I would love to share some Malaysian Chinese cooking with you! :-))

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am fluent in English and Mandarin and I would love to work with family and children with any of these two languages. I can cook pretty decent Chinese food:) I love working with animals and pets. I love walking doggies :-)) I can help in the kitchen and general house-keeping and help organize stuff. I would love to learn gardening and farming. I love Nature the most and I would love to learn anything and everything of preserving our beautiful planet Earth!
