Hi!
I'm a Dutch/Italian Sociology student in Utrecht, who loves to wind down by reading books, spending time in nature or with animals, watching movies, going for walks or just simply by hanging out on the couch.
Becoming a Workawayer is something that has always been a dream of mine, but I've never had the courage to do it alone. This summer will be the summer where I want to chase this dream and help out other people while I can have this new experience and learn all kinds of new things. I especially want to learn how to live more sustainably and how to enjoy my time and take everything a day at a time, since my life as a student with a part-time job is extremely busy.

My mother speaks 7 languages and she has honestly always been a big inspiration to me. I've always been fascinated by languages and have always wanted to learn more languages, but I have never invested my time in learning them. I am currently learning Ukrainian and Romanian on Duolingo and I have followed some German courses in preperation for my exchange semester in Berlin next schoolyear. I speak Dutch, English and Italian very fluently and I can communicate succesfully in Spanish and French, although I haven't practiced in a while. I'm also interested in learning more languages, and I can always help with teaching Dutch, Italian and English as I speak those languages best.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Although I have never done any volunteering work in other countries, I have had my share of part-time jobs. I have worked in numerous kitchens where I have learned how to clean everything perfectly and how to work efficiently and quick. I have also worked as a dishwasher, and I currently work at a concert hall where I mostly work behind the bar. I have a lot of experience in hospitality, which has been taking its toll on me because its a fast-paced and hard-working environment. I would love to spend my time unwinding in farms or animal shelters, where I can learn lots of new things and spend time with animals because I have a very big love for animals.
I'm a quick learner but I have no veterinary education or knowledge, but I do love animals. I have tried to plant some vegetables when I was little, with my dad, but unfortunately we were not veyr knowledgeable so the vegetables did not survive for long. This is of course a skill which I would love to learn and know more about.
