Description
I am a Swedish-American from Saint Paul, Minnesota. I have worked for the Wisconsin Legislature, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Jinan University in Guangdong, China, and "retired guy" jobs in auto parts and gardening. My educational credentials include a master's degree in public administration, another in library science, seventeen college credits in teaching English as a foreign language, and half the coursework toward a Certificate of Professional Editing offered by UC-Berkeley. My native language is English and I am conversational in German and was once travel-ready in Mandarin Chinese. I am a member of the Society of Hickory Golfers and play in tournaments sponsored by this organization. I spend a lot of time in my 50X50-foot garden, growing vegetables that are not available in local grocery stores. Cooking is my primary interest.

I can offer home cooking, English language speaking and writing instruction, and gardening. I also have some woodworking skills -- I make and repair historic golf clubs.

Lai Chi Wo is a very interesting village. This workaway is quite structured and work in the garden can be strenuous so youth is a valued asset. We appreciate his effort to try our farm workstay. He did put effort to do some work. I had an excellent workaway at Steinmeister Gastehaus in Naumburg. Dörte met me at the Hauptbahnhof and gave me a short tour of the stunning town of Naumburg.
