Description
About Me
Hello! I am a 29 year old genetics laboratory manager from San Francisco, California with a passion for biology, human connection, and a fascination with all that nature and this world have to offer. I graduated college in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and I’m currently studying computer programming. I have a passion for biology, learning and understanding how things work, and connecting with people.
Our 2025 Goals
In the summer of 2025, I plan to take a meaningful break between jobs to travel across Europe with my partner Sophia (profile linked). As a pair, we’re seeking opportunities for work and accommodation for two, where we can immerse ourselves in meaningful experiences and contribute in a real way to welcoming communities.
The Work We’re Excited About
We’re particularly interested in roles that involve:
Gardening and Farming: From planting and harvesting to maintenance, we’re ready to dig in!
Animal Care: My experience rehabilitating seals and sea lions has fueled my love for caring for animals of all kinds.
Childcare: We’re patient, caring, and eager to help with family life. With hopes of kids of our own soon we’re excited by the prospect of bonding with children.
Hospitality: My years as a waiter have given me the skills to provide friendly, reliable support in this field.
Beyond the tasks themselves, we care deeply about the atmosphere and the people we’ll be working with. We’re looking for a place where we can build genuine connections and make a meaningful impact.
A Little More About Me
I grew up in the Bay Area, exploring the outdoors through camping, fishing, tidepooling, and helping my dad with various hands-on projects. My deep connection to nature, especially the ocean, is what inspired my studies and career in marine biology.
Before my current job, I worked at a marine mammal rehabilitation center, where I helped nurse seals and sea lions back to health and release them into their natural habitats. I also bring a range of skills from other jobs, including years as a waiter and fieldwork with a geotechnical engineering firm.
In addition to professional experiences, I’ve always enjoyed tinkering and taking on practical challenges. I’ve loved cars my whole life, and while I’m no mechanic, I know my way around basic fixes.
These days, my passions include running, caring for my plants, and continuing to cultivate curiosity in all aspects of life.
If you think we’d be a good fit for your community, we’d love to hear from you!Centres d’intérêt
