Description
Hi there! We are Niko (23) and Rikki (22), two friends who met at the University of Michigan and have been travel buddies ever since! Before heading off to grad school and starting new jobs, we’re spending the month of July traveling through South America, hoping to immerse ourselves in the culture and make meaningful connections along the way. We are especially excited about the opportunity to do a workaway in Ecuador. The country’s diverse ecosystems and sustainability efforts really resonate with us, and we can’t wait to learn more and contribute to local eco-projects. We both have had meaningful experiences abroad – Rikki has done WWOOFing in Portugal working in farms and gardens, while Niko has participated in a language immersion program, teaching English in Barcelona. Niko, who is half-Mexican, also speaks conversational Spanish and is eager to connect with her Latin-American roots. We are both hard-working, energetic, and passionate life-long learners who love meeting new people, sharing stories and connecting with nature. We can’t wait to spend time together and get to work!

We are very interested in learning new languages, improving our Spanish, and we would love to help with anyone's English and learn a bit about their language during our travels.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
We are both energetic and easy going and are very happy to help in anyway we can! Able to do active tasks, including gardening/yard work, cleaning/tidying, and mild construction. Both have lots of experience with childcare. We are both fluent in English and Niko is proficient in Spanish. We are very interested in cuisine and enjoy cooking! We are communicative and work well in group-settings and enjoy adventurous projects. We are excited to get stuff done and have fun while doing it!
