Hello!

My name is Natasha, and I’m an a 37-year old experienced primary school teacher from Australia with a deep passion for working with children and supporting their growth both academically and emotionally.

I hold a degree in Childhood Education and currently teach in a primary setting, where I specialise in literacy development, relationship-based classroom practice, and creating inclusive, supportive learning environments. I am especially passionate about helping children build confidence in reading and communication, and I value approaches that prioritise wellbeing, compassion, empathy and inclusive-practises for students with additional needs.

Teaching is more than a profession for me — it’s something that genuinely fills me with purpose. I feel incredibly fortunate to work with young people every day and to support them in building skills that empower them for life.

Alongside my love of education, I have a strong passion for travel and cultural connection. My first overseas volunteer experience was in Mexico, working in a school setting with children — an experience that profoundly shaped my perspective and commitment to service. Since then, I’ve volunteered and worked with communities in Argentina, South Africa, Uganda, Cambodia, Kenya and beyond — supporting classroom programs, assisting in literacy and English development, contributing to community outreach initiatives, and helping create safe and engaging learning spaces.

Each experience has strengthened my adaptability, resilience, and cultural awareness. I value listening first, learning from local communities, and contributing respectfully in ways that are sustainable and supportive.

I am warm, positive, and highly committed to making a meaningful contribution wherever I go. I thrive in environments where I can build relationships, support children’s learning, and immerse myself in new cultures with humility and curiosity.

I am excited to continue combining my professional teaching experience with my passion for global community engagement, and I look forward to opportunities where I can contribute my skills in literacy, child development, and relationship-based practice to support children and families around the world.

I am a Teacher so I have excellent organisation and time-management skills, and I am a very easy person to work with and am willing to put in any extra effort needed. I am always happy with a positive attitude! I am a fast learner and happy to try any jobs offered to me.

Outside of teaching, travelling the world and my home country, I love staying fit and active and spending as much time outdoors as possible. You’ll often find me bushwalking, heading to the beach, or out in the surf — surfing is both a sport and a genuine passion of mine! I also enjoy slower, creative moments through reading, writing, and making art, which allow me to reflect and recharge. Whether I’m moving my body or creating something new, I value activities that keep me balanced, inspired, and connected to nature.
