Hello! I am Naja from Ljubljana, 19 years old and I just finished high school. This year I am taking a gap year before attending dental school in Slovenia next year so I would love to spent the year traveling and gaining new experience. This autum I would like to spend a month or two in Canary Islands in Spain and this would be my second Workaway experience. In July 2024 I spent 3 weeks with an amaizng famiIy from Alicante and had the best time ever. I would describe myself as fun and communicative with a great passion for traveling and exploring the world. My goal for this summer is to improve my Spanish, learn more about Spanish culture and cuisine, and of course to meet new friends. My family and friends see me as organized, precise, and cheerful and they love my cooking skills. Sport is a big part of my life. I'm an active athlete and a judo competitor, but I also love playing volleyball and enjoy any other sport. I am always punctual, reliable, and not afraid to take on any task. I look forward to meeting you :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Although I am only 19 years old, I have quite a lot of volunteering and work experience. My first workaway job was babysitting for a lovely Spanish family. I was responsable for two young boys (8 and 10), we played football, board games and did some other fun activities. Most days I was responsable to cook them lunch which they always enjoyed. Before that I had many jobs in Slovenia. Initially, I helped organize judo competitions and worked as a children's animator at summer camps. After obtaining a black belt in judo, I started training a group of younger children. Throughout high school, I have been tutoring and assisting children who struggle with mathematics and geography. Last summer, I worked as a receptionist at a camping site. During the school year, I prepared and served food at culinary stands. In the year 2023, I became part of the team at a leading catering company in Slovenia named Jezeršek. I love to drive, and I have 2 years of previous driving experience I gained my driving license right after my 18th birthday. I am ready to learn new things and gain new skills because I am not afraid of any work.

I love any kind of sports. In my childhood I trained gymnastics, swimming and volleyball. I still play beach volley at least once a week, but my favorite sport is judo. I have trained and competed in judo for more than 10 years. I acheved black belt and now I am training new generations. I prefer board and card games over videogames. Surprisingly, I enjoy going to school and learning new things. I excel in mathematics and chemistry. My favorite subject, however, is geography, maybe that's why I love to travel so much and explore the world.
