My name is Myriam, I am from Québec. I'm a philosophy and social science university student, and have interests in pretty much every field. I'm on workaway to look for an accessible way of traveling and meeting people from various places around the world.

I could teach french up to a certain level. I don't have a teacher formation, but I could manage to establish a program. I could also practice conversation in english or in french with people who have a basic knowledge of the langage.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in different fields, like customer service, research and basic manual working skills.
I worked in the restaurant industry for a couple of years, both as a cook and as a waitress. I stayed at my jobs for years and by the end of my days there I usually knew my way around most of the different positions. I've also been a research auxiliary at the university where I study, in subjects such as religious care in hospitals or disappearing first nation children in Canada. Finally, I was a girl scout for 11 years, and even though it's been a couple years since I stopped, I learned a lot of practical skills there and I have a lot of interest for everything outdoor, from hiking, gardening or taking care of animals.
I traveled to Germany for 3 months to study when I was 16, which was a first immersive experience. I've also been to Panama, Costa rica and Nepal alone, all of these experiences made me work on my adaptation abilities.
I can operate under pressure and adapt easily to new environment. I am not the type of person to give up easily, and I am really curious about what I can learn when I get to a new place.
