Hi! I'm Maya, a recent college graduate from Boston, Massachusetts. I love animals, nature, and spending time outdoors. I studied abroad in Panama during my junior year of college, and absolutely loved it. Since then, I've been wanting to travel again, and I finally have the time to do so! Since graduating college, I've interned as wildlife rehabilitator, a veterinary technician assistant, and a bird bander. I'm excited to continue having adventures!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Having been a veterinary technician assistant, worked on farms, and done wildlife research, I have experience working with a wide range of animals. I have a degree in biology, and love to teach others about nature and the outdoors. I have lots of experience hiking, camping, and kayaking. I studied abroad in Panama, where I spent a lot of time snorkeling, as well as received my PADI Open Water Diver certification. In addition, I've done lots of babysitting, and worked several summers as a camp counselor at a nature camp. I love art, reading, and learning new skills.

With Maya as our first American guest we couldnt have had a better one. All of us really enjoyed having her around since Maya is easy going and relaxed to have around.

I had a wonderful time with Julia, Samuel, Eliana, and Gideon. While I was only there a short time they were very welcoming, and I felt at home on their beautiful land. Phil and Bryony were so lovely and welcoming. They cooked AMAZING food for us and took us to beautiful beaches on Crete. The work was just a few hours of working on the ruin house in the morning, which was actually pretty fun and a good workout. I had such a wonderful time doing this Workaway! (Also Bryony’s 2 kittens were adorable)
