Description
Hi there,
we are Ariane & Sebastian from Berlin, Germany. We are seasoned travellers and always interested to experience what life is like in other parts of the world. With backgrounds in design&photography we spend a good share of our time behind screens and therefore enjoy doing real and productive stuff, like cooking, baking bread, gardening etc. We like to get our hands dirty and are happiest when spending time in nature.
We are parents to two grown-up sons (20&24) and probably slightly above the usual work-away age cohort. Which to our mind entails some advantages, especially from the host-point-of-view. We are sociable people, but our party days are over. We consider ourselves open-minded and relaxed in social situations and groups, as well as reliable and self-sufficient.
Our plan is to travel Colombia and Panama in January 2026. During our trip we would like to make ourselves useful at a farm, finca or eco-resort. We feel this is a great way to immerse in the local community and built connections across cultures.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Working in the creative industries as designer and photographer, we both have a pretty good eye and sense for beauty and form.
Maybe more applicable to rural life are the skills that we picked up while taking care of a small piece of land on a hill in Hungary that we own since a couple of years. There, all kinds of tasks arise, like cutting back grapevines and fruit trees, weeding, building raised beds and wooden terraces, harvesting grapes and almonds and making wine. None of it we have been properly taught, its all been learning by doing and watching others.
