Hi
My name is Melida. I am a retired public school teacher. I’ve taught elementary education (1st to 6th grades), Spanish and ESL to students in grades k through 12th. I also taught languages i(English and Spanish) in a male prison. Even though the job was very difficult, I enjoyed teaching my students and also encouraging and motivating them to make positive changes in their life so they can be productive members of our society. Currently, I am a certified yoga teacher, Spanish interpreter for public schools and I teach part-time at a Catholic school in Burlington, NJ. I love to meet new people , develop lasting relationships and learn about other cultures. I love the outdoors and being surrounded by nature! I am an active lady who loves working with children. I have two college-educated, beautiful children who have the same passions as me. Thank you

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
My professional career has been in education. I was a 1st-6th grade classroom teacher and bilingual teacher (English and Spanish) for many years and then transitioned to teach ESL and Spanish through 12th grade. My last teaching job was in a prison for males in Bordentown, NJ. I taught them Spanish and ESL so they can earn the credits necessary to get their high school diploma. Now I teach part-time in a k-8 school and yoga as well. I also work as a Spanish interpreter for local schools virtually and in person. I have excellent interpersonal, writing and organizational skills.

I really enjoy gardening and just connecting with people and nature. I love to travel and meet new people and be helpful. I love teaching yoga. I also enjoy helping children learn how to read as well as other life skills.
