I grew up on an avocado farm in rural South Africa, but spent most of my adolescence in cities around the world. I've found that even when I'm far from home in the midst of the city buildings, I always crave to be in the mountains and nature. I'm at my utmost content when I can spend my days barefoot surrounded by new people.

I've always been a big extrovert and my biggest joy has always been to meet new people. I adore the learning that comes from spending time with people from different cultures and backgrounds than mine. The whole world is filled with friends we can make!

I've spent quite some time building sets for music festivals or helping my dad with woodwork and gardening. My hope for signing up to WorkAways is to live a quiet life surrounded by beautiful new people and work with my hands.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

As I grew up on a farm, I have quite a bit of experience working outside. Working in the avocado plantations with my dad, as well as spending many (MANY) hours creating our vegetable garden with my mum. I have, what my gran would call, "green fingers".

My dad has showed me a few tricks with building some structures on the farm. This has been a skill I have bettered by being on the building and artistic direction team on a few smaller music festivals in South Africa and Portugal. (I somewhat know my way around power tools by now)

I adore people. SO. MUCH. But I'm very content in my own company. I believe in community more than anything, whether it be a large community, like the one I have at home, or just two people. I believe that people are wired to care for and love others.

I'm not sure if this is a relevant skill, but I make a cracking cup of tea and amazing vegetable curries.

I'm an avid reader and writer and I love spending time painting. My roommates in South Africa and I spent quite a few weekends painting murals on walls when commissioned.

I adore camping and am currently travelling around with my backpack and tent.

I would do anything to spend more time in mountains!!!!!
