Kia ora! We are a kiwi couple, 25 and 27 years old, and have been together for 8 years, married for 3. I (Meesha) am a qualified secondary school History teacher. I am passionate about making a difference in people's lives, love to be active and play sports (hiking, squash, netball, snowboarding, climbing, hyrox and more!), reading and researching history, and of course, travel! My husband Harvist has been a concreter for many years, but has multiple skills making him the perfect handyman! He enjoys all the same hobbies as me, as well as being passionate about enjoying the present moment and living life to the absolute fullest! We lived in Canada for a year in 2019/20, came home, got married, got my degree, and now we are ready to jet off and experience more cultures and ways of living, making lifetime memories to share at the dinner table for years to come.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Having completed 2 degrees (Bachelor of History, and Post Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching), I (Meesha) am extremely proficient with anything to do with the English language, writing, speaking, grammar, etc. I am also a qualified teacher, so I work well with children and love to find ways to help them understand new concepts, feeding off of seeing them grow and evolve with my help. I have also worked many other jobs, the most recent being managing a local town's pools - where I've learnt time management, leadership, working in a team, problem solving and relationship skills. I am able to build relationships with a variety of different people, no matter the cultural or language differences. I am able-bodied, strong and willing to try anything new. I am a confident cook, and enjoy housework tasks such as cleaning and doing washing.

Harvist has plenty of skills, growing up on a rural farm in Australia, he works well with animals and any kind of farm work, aswell as being strong and understanding basics around building, levelling, concreting, etc. He is extremely proficient in all things computers/the internet, having created websites before. He has also been a support worker for the elderly and disabled for many years, learning many skills through these avenues. He also loves kids and develops strong relationships with them by doing fun activities and playing games!

Oh we LOVE a board game/card game!! Our favourite has to be Articulate, but an honourable mention goes to Five Crowns and Code Names! In terms of books, I love to read historical fiction books - one of my favourite series being The Bronze Horseman, but have recently been getting into Fantasy as well.
