Hi there!
We are Hanna & Matthias, a couple from Germany currently traveling for a longer period on our way southeast via landscape. Before traveling, we lived in a community farm project in germany that also hosted several Workawayers. We are both passionate about gardening and like to learn about self-sustainance.
Hanna is very interested in cooking and preserved lots of foods using many different techniques, e.g. making vinegar, fermenting different veggies, making marmelades, chutney, apple sauce, ketchup, juices, collecting and drying herbs and so on. She would love to learn more about how these things are practiced in different countries and cultures. Hanna is also interested in crafting jewelry and creating art.
Matthias is a professional arborist and tree climber with experience in pruning and taking care of all kinds of trees. He also has background in software development with a masters degree in Cognitive Science, willing to help with all sorts of digital stuff. Additionally, Matthias is interested in languages, philosophy, sports and outdoor activities. He is always happy to assist in food preservation and foraging, and would love to learn more about woodworking and managing self-sustainablity.
We both care a lot about our environment so we try to live a sustainable lifestyle. We think of ourselves as open minded and easy to get in contact with, always looking to find common ground with the people we meet and to accept them as they are. -
