Hi! I'm an English teacher in Bologna, Italy, I'm from Australia.
My life is pretty standard, work, going out with my friends, cinema, concerts... what I particularly love is travelling. Anytime, anywhere... just the idea of packing a bag gets me excited. Seeing new things, meeting new people and being exposed to different perspectives... it's my lifeblood.
A balanced person is not somebody who necessarily reads a lot, has several degrees, etc. A person who is in constant contact with people of all types is the smart guy.

I'm easy-going, adaptable and love cooking. I also love learning new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have skills in teaching languages and other subjects, sports, building, working with customers. I have been a volunteer leader in Sicily, teaching children English through games. I have also volunteered in Ukraine on an archeological site, and the cleaning-up of a national park.

I am an excellent cook. I have also worked as a waiter in various restaurants/cafès.

I spent 2 weeks at the farm last summer, and found it really enjoyable. It was in a beautiful, peaceful part of the countryside, the meals were excellent, and the hosts very friendly.

I spent two very relaxing weeks here. My work was easy: cleaning the bathrooms in the morning, setting up the café area and cooking. It was easily manageable, leaving me time to lounge around the pool and catch up on my reading. The hosts Andrea, Francesca and Olga were helpful and easy-going. Hope to go back soon!

Staying with Sharon and Andrea felt so natural. They were spontaneous, easy-going, warm and great fun to be with. I worked a little in Sharon's garden doing some weeding, the rest of the time I went to the beach with Andrea and accompanied him on a children's show he was performing. Excellent weekend!

This Workaway experience was perfect: the right amount of work (cooking, basically, in my case), opportunity to mix with the wide variety of guests (which was my favourite part), and time to explore the area and go to the beach.
Sem was a great host, easy-going and fun to hang out with. Loved it all, hope to go back one day!

I had a great time in Prangli. The work was quite long on some days, but rewarding. A lot of cooking and great evenings with incredible sunsets. Livar took me fishing, a fantastic experience. I stayed for a week in August at Jon's place and enjoyed the different pace and lifestyle. Facilities were simple, but this was not a problem. The work was very hard, digging very early in the morning to escape the heat. But I didn't mind it.

I spent a week last August at Steve and Denise's place, it was so relaxing. I did a lot of gardening, a little cooking and a lot of chilling. Highly recommended.

My 3 weeks at Quinta were exceptional. After a few hours in the morning of intense work, I was then free to go to the beach and just chill for the rest of the day. Chris and Ana were just perfect: relaxed, warm and superlative people.
