Hi there!

My name is Maja, I am a Swedish girl traveling Latin America with my boyfriend Ludwig. I have used Workaway before on my travels through south east asia and think its a great way of meeting people and see more of the local culture.

Big interests for me are being in the nature, animals, music and vegetarian food. I also love exploring new places and meeting new people from all around the world, sharing experiences.

I can help with a little bit of everything from front of house to maintanance, admin, cooking and gardening to name a few.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I've always worked with people. Colleagues, guests, costumers. Mostly all mixed together. It doesn't matter whether I'm working in a reception or running around as a waitress, I always have a smile on my face and know how to handle each situation as it comes. I'm very organised as a person and know both how to lead and be part of a team.

When I'm not at work I love to be outdoors. I love to snowboard, surf, hike, and play volleyball. In Sweden I also coached a volleyball team for younger girls. Additionally, I know my way around a bar and know how to cook. Also, if you need any help with computers or social media I can help you out in these areas as well.

I really recommend having Maja and Ludo as workawayers as they a lovely couple that are keen on working with projects while traveling. Emilio is a very friendly host and the delta is truly a unique place to visit, I would definitely recommend it. We stayed for 2 weeks in oct-nov and the help needed at that point was preparing the hostel for opening, mostly painting and cleaning of rooms.

Ms Maya was one of the volunteers who is loved by many Sri Lankan students. She was always hanging out with the students. That is what we expect from a volunteer. We were always happy to have her with us. We recommend her for any future hosts. Do not hesitate to host her as she knows how to help in return. She is an excellent volunteer.

Fantastic hospitality!!! Stayed here for 4 weeks and they really took great care of me. I couldn't have asked for more. The staff and family is lovely and kind and the students as well. An experience I will never forget. Thank you a lot for having me!
