Hi there! I’m Maëlle, a Belgian girl traveling through Scandinavia this summer with my boyfriend, Laurent. He is a very optimistic, proactive person who is eager to learn more about anything : from practical skills to local culture. He loves sports, board games, cooking and chatting about the world.

As for me, I’m more introverted but diligent and conscientious. My passions are photography, doing ceramics and I would love to improve my yoga practice. Surrounded by nature is where I thrive the most. I’m also enthusiastic and love discovering new things.

We are both easygoing and work well as a team. We would love to take part in small-scale projects that connect us with nature and people. We are traveling in an overlander that we converted ourselves.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Tongs
Our mother tongue is French and we speak English, even though Maëlle needs to dare to speak a bit more. Laurent could use some Dutch when he remembers his lessons at school.

We were both active in scout activities where we learned how to live together with other people. It brought us insights on how to behave in the nature.

We were parts of student associations. Maëlle’s was about photography and Laurent’s about board games.

As we are both academic people, we did not practice manual jobs but it is the reason we left our office jobs : to discover other fields. At the moment, Laurent dreams about being a farmer and Maëlle a florist.

Before going on this trip, we converted our car into a living place. It includes working with wood, painting, learning about electrical engineering… We are not scared of trying something new.
