Hello! My name is Maddie and I'm a 19 year old gap year student from the United States. I recently finished my first backpacking trip- a six month long adventure around Europe and Morocco- and I'm ready to keep travelling! I've volunteered at 3 hostels and loved each experience. I prefer slow travelling because it allows me to develop lifelong friendships and integrate myself into a new culture. In the fall of 2024 I will be going to university in Madrid, Spain to study Mechanical Engineering, I'm a huge Formula 1 fan and my dream is to work in this industry. I also enjoy reading, hiking and dancing, and meeting new people. In January of 2024 I will be starting on a 5 month backpacking trip through Central and South America and I couldn't be more estatic for this new part of my life:)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've worked in 3 hostels thus far so I am well versed in reception tasks, housekeeping, and creating a positive enviornment/attending to guest's needs. I also worked as a bar back in portugal- so I'm familar with bartending but would love to learn more about it. I currently work as a barista. I also danced for 10 years, and have taught dance classes before. I've also led pub crawls and group activites for a hostel. Finally- I've been a social media coordinator for a hostel in Morocco.

I love playing any type of game! Whether it's a card game, drinking game or even a sport. I'm also passionate about body confidence, and intuitive eating and have done a TedX speech regarding this topic.
