Description

My name is Luka and I'm from Ireland, as of writing this I've been to three different workaways. Those included, helping build a refuggio in Spain, building drystone walls on a permaculture in Austria and renovating a farmhouse in Germany. I'm hands-on and not afraid of some hard work.

My primary reason for joining is I want to spend as much of my time outdoors as I can, I love rock climbing, hiking and swimming in the sea. Food is also a very important aspect of my life. I'm a vegetarian and have been since the age of 9 (my own choice). Growing up I ate delicious food; my mum was a chef, as a teenager I too also started working in kitchens as a dishwasher, eventually becoming a chef by learning, watching and making mistakes. Simultaneously I studied Graphic Design in university, I worked extremely hard between the classroom and the restaurant. I believe this has taught me to have a strong work ethic and an appreciation for downtime, time where I can enjoy nature and my interests.

I am always searching for new experiences, new music, foods, people, places. I thrive on stimulation, socialising and hard work. I'm really easy-going, happy to see where the road takes me. I'm excited to begin this journey and hopefully I can help make something good out of it.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked as a chef for over 5 years, I can cook loads of different ingredients and I love to use new ones. Through working as a chef I have also gained a respect for the kitchen, keeping it clean and organised etc. Im strong and can work outdoors, I help my family grow and harvest vegetables from our polly tunnel.

I'm a fast learner and I love to be interested in new things and ideas.
