Hi! I'm Lucy McDowell - I was born in Northern Ireland but I currently go between my home country and Scotland during the academic year. I am in my final undergraduate year doing Politics and Philosophy in Scotland. I'm 22 years old and open to cultural exchanges and experiences where I can see a little more of the world!

I am becoming an experienced traveller, more-so than I was than when I began this workaway experience, and I am open to new adventures and to seeing more of the world that is outside of what I am used to and that are away from the tourist trails. I'd like to see the real side of most of the countries I visit, and not just the side that the tourist committee would like me to see. I'm also just open to learning, open to anything that I can put on my CV, and hopefully make me more employable.

Open to any experiences where I can learn French, I've been working on my French skills for a year now and could use some real-world experience! Cultural and language exchanges would be banging.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

- Have experience in teaching English to non-native speakers in Warsaw, Poland and Casablanca & El Jadida in Morocco. Through this I have taught in several styles, such as one-to-one tuition, guiding people through exams and qualifications, and in classroom settings (in both my accent was considered the "difficult" one, so if you need a challenge for people aspiring to get better at English, consider me!)
- Through Guides, I have led groups and been in charge of several camping events. This involved cooking, cleaning, pitching tents, as well as organising and leading these events
- Proficient in both piano and trumpet, as well as musical theory (and able to teach)
- Semi-decent art skills, although they could use some work

I would be willing to help out in any capacity necessary.

I'd like to gain more practical skills for my day-to-day, from how to hold conversational French to how to fix a door, or even how to garden. Skills that would be helpful for my future life and living more independently. Open to anything! (within reason, no skydiving anytime soon)
