Hi :)
I'm Lucie, I live in a beautiful part of western Canada and am currently completing a master's degree in clinical counselling. It's been a while since I did my last Workaway, but I've had some great experiences in the past so I'm hoping to find one or two great hosts for my upcoming Europe trip in March/April 2024. I'd also love to spend some time in eastern Canada, and I'm always open to last minute trips!

I grew up in Germany but have been living in Canada for over ten years and counting. I genuinely love travelling, learning different languages (currently working on fluency in French and Spanish), experiencing different cultures and meeting people from all over the world. I also really enjoy spending time outside (especially close to the ocean), making music, staying active through climbing, snowboarding and martial arts, and hanging out with dogs. I'm a big fan of good food and cook and bake often, always trying new recipes or just getting creative in the kitchen. Overall, I like to stay positive and appreciate the little things in life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a lot of experience as a web designer/writer/social media manager in marketing and have worked in customer service (including as a server, in food preparation and at a climbing gym), tourism, property management and as a dog sitter. I'm also a certified (200hr) Yoga Instructor with over five years of teaching experience at my local studios.

I'm currently volunteering as an English language tutor in my hometown, though I'm also fluent in German and happy to teach either language at any level (I don't have formal language teaching education). I also love talking about all things Psychology and am happy to share some knowledge if that interests you!

I love to cook and would be able to help out with any household chores. I don't have formal babysitting or childcare experience but I absolutely love spending time with children, including my two sweet nieces, and sharing their genuine happiness and curiosity.

I've done some home improvement DIY, including painting, but this is an area of work I'd need more guidance in. I am a quick learner and I would love to gain new skills! :)
