Ciao, sono Luca!

I first joined Workaway as soon as I turned eighteen and embarked on travels through Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, South Africa, and other incredible destinations. When the time came for a pause, I pursued a degree in architecture, living across Milan, the Netherlands, and Denmark for almost 4 years.

Those were beautiful years, and now I feel poised for a new chapter. Together with my friend David, we nurtured a dream of journeying through South America, uncovering its wonders, and experiencing it through the eyes of two young, idealistic, and crafty architects. Life's choices have held us back until now, but finally, the moment has arrived. I'll set out on a solo journey, ultimately reuniting with David wherever the winds of South America may take me.

Ciao a tutti! I am an architect with experience in designing structures using bio-architecture principles, with a special focus on intricate bamboo constructions. My expertise also extends to rammed earth, straw, and wood.

I have a strong affinity for DIY projects, and I truly relish rolling up my sleeves, collaborating on projects, and building things from the ground up. I frequently engage in participatory construction workshops, finding satisfaction in working together on creative endeavors. Over the past couple of years, I've been interested in permaculture approaches, and I'm quite drawn to the idea of learning more about living off-grid.

I am a native Italian speaker, I possess a proficient level of English and a medium level of Spanish.
