Description

I’m an adventurous social worker, looking for time away to travel and dedicate more time to learning Spanish and giving back. The last 7 years I’ve worked as a social worker with newly arrived immigrant and refugee students in Kansas City. I’ve learned so much there and want to continue growing and learning about the World

I’m new to work away but have traveled to 20 countries, spent ~3 months in Peru previously, and taught English in Thailand for a semester. I love working with children, families, and animals. Im interested in gaining a variety of new experiences, including spending more time outside, learning new skills, and giving back.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My expertise is in social work; I have my clinical license and masters degree. Social work is my passion and goes hand in hand with a lot of volunteer work. I have experience in clinical roles including therapy and intensive case management.

I have experience working with many cultures and have enjoyed traveling as much as I can, including teaching English abroad. My Spanish is intermediate level, but a primary goal of mine is to improve.

Learning new skills is exciting to me. I’m the “fixer” in my house and enjoy hands on house projects and cleaning/simple tasks
