Description

I am an Adventurer at heart I suppose and I've learned to carry my sense of Home within mySelf. Adventure means continually challenging my edges and how I've come to define any sense of identity. Now in midlife, I'm looking for what is re-awakening my fire and creativity. I'm feeling very called to the Land and Reciprocity with her. I'm interested in what can help me live more in line with those values, and less attached to systems / city / old structures (despite being partner-less). As I don't feel I can jump ship and go off-grid alone, I feel workaway is a good option to begin exploring how I might find a way to fit into a new paradigm.

I love Nature, meditation, growth and have regular daily practices of Connection and Being. I've been quite active with hiking, kayaking, biking, and my inner / spiritual exploration is ongoing. I'm social, but an introverted social, meaning I prefer depth in any conversation and am not a very good "mingler" in large social settings.

I have worn so many hats over the years professionally ... from
- northern commercial pilot (20s)
- educator (30s)
- commercial property & construction management - physical & financial (40s)
- small business management (50s)
- healing work (50s)

For the most part, the "professional" roles have required using my masculine skill sets of "managing / controlling" in quite autonomous / highly accountable environments.

Additionally:

- worked a lot with horses and all related stable/farm work in those environments.
- cleaned homes professionally.
- owned / maintained / updated homes - while I'm not a carpenter, I have general tool literacy
- can buck lumber and handle a chainsaw
- own / manage / maintain airbnb
- pet-sitting / house sitting
- trained end of life doula / hospice experience
- energy & somatic healing via various modalities
