I get my greatest satisfaction from creating things: with my hands and with my mind. Most recently, I sold my creamery I established 16 years ago wherein I invented more than fourteen cheeses from my own goat's milk (herd of 150 goats) , as well as from milk from neighboring cow, sheep and water buffalo dairies. During the dark days of covid, when business slowed a bit ( I heavily depended on San Francisco Bay Area restaurants) I began building furniture from redwood burls and reclaimed wood with my newly emerging bits of spare time. The sizes of these pieces range from 10-450 lbs. I also enjoy designing and building fences from willow I harvest. On a less physical side of creation, I have written several novels and have had a few short stories published--the point being that the joy I receive from creating can take various forms in my life. I have loved to spread that joy through workaway's cultural exchange and look forward to my mext exchange.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have decades of experience in animal husbandry: the care and milking of goats and sheep. I know my way around horses. I can garden, drive a tractor, a riding mower, and have some experience on a backhoe. Some limitations in my wrist due to repetitive work with regard to pulling weeds, etc. I have many years experience as a small agricultural business owner and can manage operations and staff. I am fluent in Italian and Swedish and speak well enough in Spanish and French.
