Description
Do you have a nice (eco) project where I can contribute and hopefully learn some new skills in exchange for some food and a place to stay, than we might be a match! I love being outside, travel and meet new people and other cultures. I would really like to learn about permaculture, ecofriendly building techniques or in some other way contribute to a nature friendly project.
I am an easygoing, hardworking person who does not mind getting his hands dirty. I speak Dutch and English fluently, can get around with Spanish and currently studying Italian. I have a masters degree in earth (soil) sciences and love to be outside. I've always dreamed of finding a nice place in nature, outside of the Netherlands, in a warmer climate (both in terms of society as well as temperature) and recently decided to pursue this dream. I've quit my job as manager of the BioGeoChemistry laboratory of the university of Amsterdam, bought a camper van and started driving south. I plan to go around Italy, Spain and Portugal to visit different projects to get inspiration and hopefully find a place to either start my own project or join an existing one. My journey so far brought me to a 'homeschooling' project with a strong focus to nature connection, awareness and didactic activities (started by a former colleague of mine) in the north of Italy but I'm ready for some other adventures!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I have a master in earth (soil) sciences with also quite some practical knowledge that I'm happy to share.
In would consider myself quite handy, always trying to understand how things work and fix everything myself before calling a professional. I know some basic plumbing and recently installed a solar panel on the roof of my camper, but there is still room to learn in this department
.
Outdoor/construction I've recently obtained include firewood preparation (using chainsaws and axes), building of several types of fences (constructional and more aesthetical) and constructing steps in a hilly landscape.
I know my way around basic (gardening) tools, can work independently but also enjoy working in a group.
Most of all I'm always enthusiastic to learn new skills, reliable and easygoing

I really love hiking, traveling and exploring. Only quite recently started doing (and really enjoying) yoga and meditation.
