Hi there!

My name is Lara, I am 28 years old and I am from a beautiful town called Aurich in the North of Germany and my boyfriend Wilson is 31 and from New Zealand.

In the last years we have been traveling a lot, from India to Colombia, from Spain to Tanzania. When I went on a trip to Indonesia in 2018, I met Wilson.

Since then we’ve been living on and off in Canada, Australia and for the last 2 years in New Zealand. We both think we will be settling down in New Zealand in the future, but we wanted to do one last big trip before doing so.

We both love diving in to the culture of the places we visit and we feel like there is no better way to do it than to live and work with the locals.

For Christmas this year we will be visiting my family in Germany. As it’s a big trip from New Zealand to Europe, we decided to combine the family visit with two month in the Austrian mountains. 🤗

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We both have experience farming (e.g. tractor driving, animal care). Wilson has done some carpentry/ building work in Canada before and has worked as a building control inspector in New Zealand.
My educational background is in sports management, but I have worked lots in hospitality. We love gardening and DIY and in our free time we go surfing, climbing, hiking or skiing.

Both Wilson ad I have been working non-stop since the beginning of Covid so we decided to take a six-month „sabbatical“ to get out and travel again. We met overseas 5 years ago and have been to lots of different places together as tourists and volunteers. We love to learn more about new cultures and people and believe that there is no better way to experience a place than living with a family.
