Hey, look at us. Both here on Workaway searching for some unique and special opportunities all over the world. Chasing new experiences, working together, growing together. I like that about us.

A little about me: I was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and moved to Vancouver in 2017 for a BSc. in Chemistry and fell in love with the West Coast. I then moved to Bologna, Italy to pursue an MSc. in Photochemistry and Molecular Materials and graduated in July 2024. I loved connecting with my culture there and travelling all over Italy.

After that, I decided it was time for a change of pace and I went backpacking in Panama and Costa Rica in early 2025. It was a deeply fulfilling experience due to the sheer density of connection I experienced with nature and other people. From sunrise surfs to scuba diving to every little moment of bliss, it was a time of my life I'll always cherish. I plan on taking this energy back home to Vancouver, BC to reset and build some roots before I embark on my next international adventure. Volunteering is a really incredible experience and I intend to explore it more in the future...

A little more about me: I love to be active, whether it's cycling, surfing, climbing, yoga, beach volleyball, etc. Music is one of my greatest passions, both listening to it and producing it. Other than that I love to just explore and connect with people. I am a positive and optimistic person who chooses to focus on all the beautiful aspects of life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am a scientist with a Bachelor's and Master's degree, which shows I have a high level of work ethic, critical thinking, and ability to apply myself. I moved to Italy by myself for graduate school, which shows I am independent and can adapt to foreign environments.

I learned a strong, basic level of Italian during my time and have only gained interest in learning other languages, including Spanish and South Korean.

I also have 2+ years of experience as the President of a club, so I know how to be a leader and effectively communicate with others and work as a team.

I fell in love with cooking over 10 years ago when I was in highschool and worked in a restaurant as a Line Cook for over a year, so I have a strong ability in the kitchen. I also love to stay active and physically fit, so I am able to do manual labour.

I had many small pets growing up, but haven't personally had a dog or cat. I have had roommates with dogs, however, and have taken them on walks and other general care. I love animals and would be comfortable taking care of them. I intend on having some in the future when I am more settled down in one place.

I believe I have a strong base level of skills that allows me to be adaptable to many different situations and I aim to treat people with compassion, patience, respect, and positivity. I appreciate you reading this far :)

I mentioned my hobbies previously, but I'll say that I am open-minded and love to try new things. I can very much go with the flow and explore whatever activities are available in my local environment.
