Hello! I am Shun from Malaysia. I am currently solo backpacking in South Asia. I hope to spend around 4 months in this region!

I am a curious person and I love to try new things. Volunteering at various places makes this possible and Workaway is the perfect platform for this. I have learned so much through volunteering, and I also hope to provide as much as I can to the community!

Malaysia is a multi-racial country where all heritage and roots are very well-preserved. I grew up in a diverse environment and I would love to learn more about culture outside of my own country. I can’t wait to stay longer at different places to dive deep and experience the places like a local!!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I used to work as a data analyst at a software start-up. I love working with numbers and I believe I will be able to help with computer/digitalization and data-related inquiries.

I have also worked a couple of part-time jobs in the food industry - I've worked in the school dining hall and cafe, as well as a hot-pot restaurant. My responsibilities were mostly cleaning and serving the orders. Though I never cooked (unless you count making sandwiches and fries), I have some experience in the service industry and I am confident that I will do well.

I am no expert in gardening but I love plants and have a very proud collection of house plants. I am also a very hands-on person and love to be creative - I really enjoy thrifting and upcycling various things. I've tried to build a table myself once but the outcome wasn't quite stable, so I would love it if there is any chance to learn my ways around diy projects and the tools.

I can also help with language practice if you are interested in learning Mandarin or some basic Malay and Cantonese! :)

Well... I have to admit that I am a huge Potterhead - any Harry Potter-related item/topic will make me very happy.

I have also picked up photography to keep myself busy during my travels. If you need a photo shoot on something I can try my best!

I love nature and hiking and would love to tag along with any hiking sessions :D Also open to trying new sports!
