I am a very enthusiastic horticultural engineer who started out as a classical/opera singer and chef.
I love traveling, I spent more than a year wwoofing on farms in the Czech Republic and Scotland and I tried workaway for the first time in 2017 to teach English for children. I loved it a lot and continued my adventures on a farm harvesting olives, then with a family of actors where I helped out with childcare, housework, and gardening.
The following year I spent almost 6 months in the US on two farms where I had the chance to learn about both commercial and small-scale vegetable production and how to take care of hundreds of pasture-raised laying hens.
I spent 6 months in Scotland in 2019, discovering the Islands and Highlands, and loved every minute of it. I got to work in a family hotel, on several crofts - some of them off-the-grid, an organic farm and gained a lot of useful skills.
This summer I'm finishing woodworking school, and I will finally become (a still very inexperienced :D) cabinetmaker.
I'm a very chatty person, I'll talk your ears off but I also don't mind being on my own. I'm also a book fanatic, on my days off you can find me either hiking or reading.

I can do any type of gardening/farm work and animal care, I love to cook and I can do general housework. I have some experience as a waitress/bartender, I worked at a small restaurant for 6 months.
I am very interested in working with wood, I am currently a student in a VET, finishing in June.
I work well with children and teenagers, I volunteered at a nonprofit NGO for 7 years that focuses on education about sustainability for children and teenagers.

The work is interesting and varied, not too hard and the day starts late enough for you to get plenty of rest in case you go out in the afternoon. Even though I only stayed for a couple of days I had an exceptional experience. Issy, Jack and Hamish picked me up and from the first moment they made me feel more like a guest than a workawayer. I had a very good time, I picked olives, I worked at the agroturismo and helped with herding sheep - not a lot, as there were many others :D.
