When I'm not working, you can typically find me trail running or soaking in the sun anywhere outdoors (hiking on a mountain or eating/drinking on an outdoor patio).

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I am a licensed physical therapist in the US and have been working as such in the neurologic field for the past 6 years. That said, I have a lot of experience working with individuals from kiddos to older adults, as well as with individuals with common aches and pains to neurologic deficits. I am very interested in all things health/wellness/fitness and have the passion of spreading that with others.

I am a 32 y/o female, born and raised in Hawaii, but have been living on the US mainland since leaving the islands for college. My studies and work allowed me to live in some amazing places around the US. I grew up playing soccer and have a passion for all things sports, fitness, health, and wellness. As a physical therapist, I am very passionate about re-integrating individuals who are enduring neurologic injuries back into the community via sport and outdoor activities. Outside of work, I am passionate about sustainability and environmental awareness. Looking forward to immersing myself into new cultures and connecting with new communities in this journey of healing and growth.

If you want a true cultural experience and to gain a better understanding about Balinese life and culture from locals this is for you. I don't even know where to begin...

First, Putra and his family were so hospitable and welcoming, I truly felt like part of their family. They welcomed me in with open arms and I felt… read more so comfortable with them. My Bali mom as I've come to call her, is such a hoot! She has so much wisdom to share I could honestly talk to her forever. She took me to her school and always fed me with delicious Balinese snacks. I was also able to join the family at temple to receive blessing, which was such an amazing and special experience. I loved the conversations I had with Putra and his cousin Dede over dinner, which gave me so much insight about Balinese life. And I can't forgot about my Bali dad and little brother Win. They both were so nice and always made sure I was comfortable.

The work itself was straightforward and I'm pretty sure I learned more from the students than they did from me! I enjoyed interacting with the students, who were all so respectful. I learned a lot about Balinese life from them and they all gave me such good recommendations of things to try and do when I'm in Bali. All of the teachers were also so welcoming and helped me to integrate into the classes seamlessly.

Nestled in Sukawati, about a 20-30 min motor bike ride from Ubud, it was the perfect escape from tourists and some of the more hectic life of places like Canggu or Ubud. It was perfect though, because Ubud is so close it was easy enough to head there before classes started or over the weekend. I was even able to do a day trip to Canggu. Location wise it was perfect. Sanur is also very close. Sukawati itself will hold a special place in my heart. I became fond of my local cafe and warung where I would eat and work at. I was able to use Putra's family's bicycle, which is how I got around the town. Everyone in the community is so nice, it was hard saying goodbye.

Which is why, when I come back to Bali I will be making it a point to stop by and say hello. These humans truly became like family and I will cherish the relationships I built with them and this community forever. Thank you so much Putra and family! I highly recommend this workaway! You will walk away with a new perspective on Bali life and so much more humility and gratitude.
