Hello Everyone!
My name is Kiera. I grew up in Juneau, Alaska. Since graduating high school, I have perused my passion for travel, exploring the world one adventure at a time- starting with a 6 month road trip around the western United States in 2021. After that I took off to Europe solo style following varying workaways centered around the arts. I've always liked staying in one spot for longer versus hopping around, as to truly connect more to the places I go. I want to be apart of something where I can be helpful, while connecting with others and the environment, establishing a bit of a home somewhere new.

Being from Juneau, Alaska which is in the Tongass National Forest (the biggest temperate rainforest in the world!) I am most comfortable in the outdoors. I like my time best spent outside wether it be fishing, hiking, camping, basking in the sun or sports like surfing and snowboarding. I love all art, visual art, theater, music, that's where my heart lays along with the outdoors. I'm a rather peaceful, easygoing person who loves to laugh. :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have worked in food service, tourism, hospitality, housekeeping and childcare. I am a fast learner and am up for any task or challenge.

Currently I am living at The Hostel in Teton Village, Wyoming, which is at the base of the renowned Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (ski hill). I've been here for a year and half- housekeeping and working the front desk. Being in Jackson Hole, an extremely high touristic area, I've really gotten the hang of managing super busy seasons- catering to guests and sharing local knowledge. I've also done various small projects such as repainting benches and assembling bike racks working at The Hostel. Here in Teton Village I picked up a second job on the ski hill- I started as a prep cook for Corbets Cabin's "World Famous Waffles" and then I transitioned to working at the waffle cabin at the summit of the resort, which was an extremely fast paced environment selling waffles and merch.

I've always worked at my family's deli in Juneau, where I do prep, cook, barista, inventory/shopping/delivery, clean (of course) and man the register, always delivering friendly service with a smile- I am very confident in my customer service skills.

I’ve led groups of tourists through outdoor trails (on segways) and taught them about the nature, geography, and history of Juneau.

I am excellent with kids and love being around them! As the older sister of 4 I have a natural ease with children. I have worked at a children’s art camp and been a long-term nanny, where I also tutored the 7 year old girl through online school during the pandemic.
