Hi, I’m Jordan! I’m originally from New Mexico, USA, and now also an Estonian citizen. I’m currently studying Integrated Engineering at TalTech in Tallinn, and this semester I’m on exchange at Botswana International University of Science & Technology. My semester ends at the end of November, looking for a host for when the semester ends.
Recently, I found a sweet little kitten here named Pico. She’s 12 weeks old, very well-behaved, and just got her vaccinations. She will need a blood test in one month, and she won’t be able to travel back to Estonia with me until January, three months after the test. Because of this, I’m looking for a WorkAway host who is comfortable having a kitten or cat around. Pico is friendly, calm, and would love to join me while I volunteer.
I’ve been part of WorkAway before — I spent a full year volunteering across Europe on farms, hostels, childcare projects, permaculture gardens, and even restoring an old nuclear bunker. It was one of the best experiences of my life and really shaped the way I see community, service, and travel.
I love WorkAway because it lets me connect with locals, learn from people’s traditions and skills, and give back with my own energy. I’m curious, adaptable, and happy to help with whatever’s needed — from cooking and cleaning to childcare, animal care, gardening, DIY, and tutoring.
My goals right now are to:
Learn more about animal care (especially horses 🐴)
Practice teaching (I’d love to tutor in math/science — my strong subjects)
Gain practical building skills (dream: build my own country home one day and host WorkAwayers myself!)
Immerse myself in different cultures and ways of life
I believe that being of service blesses us in ways we can’t always imagine, and I’m excited to keep learning and sharing along the way — with Pico by my side!Centres d’intérêt
