  • Description

Hi, I just graduated as a video journalist. I live in Brussels, the capital of Europe. Here I really love the multiculteral exchanges with the inhabitants who are very open-minded. I love sustainable tourism. I got to know Workaway through my neighbour. She had a bnb where, as a teenager, I kept helping her with breakfast and cleaning the rooms. She often had someone assisting her from workaway. I myself have been employed since I was 15 in a small family hotel where I cleaned and did the reception. I also work in Brussels in a luxury hotel where I work in the rooftop bar. Furthermore, I am someone very sporty. It doesn't matter what sport, as long as I can indulge and move around. In Brussels, there is also a big Latin American community. That's how I ended up in a salsa and bachata group. We meet regularly in the park to dance. Although I am not a good dancer, I love dancing. By travelling, I especially hope to meet people with different mindsets and ideas that can inspire me. But mostly to slow down the pace of life a bit and be able to enjoy every moment whether good or bad.
I am a social person, but sense in time when someone needs space. I myself also find it important to be alone from time to time. I also feel better in small groups or one-on-one. This allows me to establish a deeper connection with people.

  • Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Since I was 14 years old, I have been working in the hospitality industry. It started with working in a bed and breakfast at my neighbor's house with whom I developed a very good relationship. Thanks to my passion for language, I soon got a job at the reception desk in a family hotel in Bruges. My mother tongue is Dutch, but I am fluent in English and French. Furthermore, I also have some notion of German. There I also enjoyed cleaning the rooms. Presently, I work in Brussels in a busy rooftop bar. In between all that work, I graduated as a video journalist. I love writing and translating things into audio or images. Besides working and studying, I love sports. I myself used to teach strength training classes at the gym. Unfortunately, due to the busy student life, I stopped doing that but I still love sporty activities like cycling or dancing. In Brussels I always travel by bike and also enjoy repairing my bikes.
