Description

Hi, I'm Joel! I'm a fun, friendly, creative 25 year old from Toronto, Canada.

I have a degree in computer science and have been working as a software engineer for the last couple of years but am ready for a new, more fulfilling adventure. In my travels, I'm eager to explore new cultures, develop new relationships, and see life from fresh perspectives :)

I always do my best to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle and I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love yoga, journaling, reading, running, hanging out at cafes, and exploring new areas. I'm also a big animal lover - I grew up with a dog and have fostered cats in the past. I also love expressing my creativity whether it's through photography, interior design, or music (I sing, play piano and guitar, and enjoy listening to many different genres of music). I see myself as a lifelong-learner and love to learn about other cultures and have my perspectives challenged. I am also in the process of learning French and am hoping to have opportunities to chat with other French speakers 🤞

• Having studied computer science and worked as a software engineer for over three years, I am able to help with any kind of technology needs
• I am good with kids (I worked with children at a summer camp for 6 summers)
• I have an eye for design and enjoy creative DIY projects
• I have had summer jobs involving landscaping and doing home renovations so I am familiar with many tools and am generally good at working with my hands
• I grew up with pets and am very comfortable around animals
• I have my full driver's license
• I am a skilled photographer
• I am comfortable cooking meals
• I have lived on my own for multiple years and am skilled at keeping spaces tidy and looking after myself

I have three older siblings still living in Canada.

I am very innovative and hope to pursue some kind of entrepreneurial endeavour in the future, but for now I'm just learning more about myself and exploring my passions.
