Description

Hey!
We are Janina (22) and Finja (25), a couple from Germany. We have been together for three years and live together ever since. During our travel journey we are looking forward to gain more and more volunteering experiences abroad :)

We just finished our first Workaway in the South of Ireland, where we did a lot of weeding, harvesting, gardening and also cooking and cleaning! We really enjoyed our stay and being a part of everyday life.

We both speak English quite well and are looking forward to improve it even more by living and working in an English-speaking environment. We are open-minded, friendly, and enjoy meeting new people, learning something about other cultures, sharing experiences, and becoming part of everyday life.

Finja (25):
I worked as a childcare worker in a daycare, mainly with children aged 1–3, and I also have some experience with older children. After our gap year, I plan to study social work.
I have been living independently since I was 17, so I’m very comfortable with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and keeping things organized.
Animals are a big part of my life, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. I have experience with dogs and cats and feel confident around animals like horses, cows, chickens and sheep. Caring for animals gives me calm and balance, and I’d be happy to help with their daily needs.
I would describe myself as empathetic, reliable, helpful, and generally cheerful.

Janina (22):
I’m an open-minded, warm, and motivated person who loves meeting new people and trying out new things. Traveling and volunteering together feels like the perfect way to step out of my comfort zone, learn from different cultures, and create lasting memories.
After I finished school in 2023 I did a voluntary social year in daycare for children from 1-3.
What makes me happiest is spending time with animals, children, cooking, and connecting with people. I love caring for animals and helping with everyday tasks. Cooking is one of my passions, particularly when I can share meals with others.
I’m friendly, reliable, and hands-on. I enjoy teamwork and am always willing to jump in wherever help is needed.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are happy to help with daily chores, childcare, animal care, cooking, cleaning, and general practical work. We are not afraid of physical tasks and enjoy learning new skills, whether it’s gardening, farm routines, or basic handcraft and maintenance.
We‘re both creative people who enjoy arts, crafts, and DIY projects.

We will be traveling for about 12 months and hope to gain valuable experiences, learn new things, and meet many wonderful people along the way.
