Hi :)

I'm Iván from México and for the past several months I've been traveling around the world by hitchhiking, wild camping, volunteering and couchsurfing. This journey has been a deep learning experience, pushing my limits and teaching me just how adaptable, resilient, and capable I am.

My background is in Tourism, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and worked at the information desk of my city's airport for five years, there I developed my customer service skills, patience, and ability to assist people from all over the world always with a smile!

I'm no stranger to community living and hard work. I have volunteered at a non-profit shelter in my hometown where i helped mainly in the kitchen cooking food for over 80 people, and I've already had a fantastic first Workaway experience, where I spent three weeks helping on a family farm. I enjoy being part of a team and contributing to a shared goal.

I am ready to roll up my sleeves, learn new tasks, and bring a positive attitude to your project.

Soft skills:

- Adaptability and problem-solving: My journey as a hitchhiker and wild camper has sharpened my resourcefulness, self-sufficiency, and ability to thrive in unpredictable situations.

- Social & Communication Skills: I am a naturally open and friendly person. I easily make friends on the road (especially when hitchhiking haha) and have experience with cultural exchange through platforms like Couchsurfing, staying with local hosts and building genuine connections.

- Respect for Communities: I deeply understand and value the dynamics of living with others, whether in a family home, a shared hostel, or a Couchsurfing stay. I am a respectful, clean, and grateful guest.

Practical and Farm skills:

- Customer service: I worked for over 5 years in Guadalajara International Airport helping people from all over the world :)

- Cooking: I helped in the kitchen of a non-profit shelter, I cooked, kept areas cleaned and helped with inventory.

- Animal Care: Built a sheep corral from scratch and maintained clean animal enclosures.

- Gardening & Irrigation: Assisted in installing an irrigation system, and performed tasks like fertilizing, spraying, and harvesting crops.

- General Labor: Physically capable and eager to learn new manual tasks. My hitchhiking and camping experiences have further strengthened my resilience and stamina for outdoor work.

I adore camping and being surrounded by nature, i always bring a tent with me just in case haha.

I can drive manual transmission car.

I'm very good at spreadsheets (excel and google sheets).
