Irene & Loïc

Hi! We’re Irene and Loïc, a friendly and easy-going couple from Italy and France, passionate about travel, human connection, and learning through experience. We met while backpacking in Vietnam, and we’ve been exploring the world together ever since.

We are currently based in Zanzibar, where we work in a dive center on a small island. We enjoy connecting with people from different cultures and contributing to meaningful, hands-on projects with a positive and flexible attitude.

👩 Irene
I have a strong background in childcare and education. I babysat for over six years, volunteered at a Waldorf school in Germany, where I learned creative and nurturing approaches to working with children, and participated in Workaway projects both in Vietnam (helping with English lessons and kids’ activities) and in France (supporting a family with childcare, B&B tasks, gardening, and daily house maintenance).

I’m caring, adaptable, and happy to help in any area – whether that’s with children, guests, in the kitchen, or general household support.

👨 Loïc
I’m a certified scuba diving instructor, with a background not only in customer service and tourism, but also in construction work. I previously worked in the building industry in France, and I hold a diploma in electrical installation.

I'm calm, reliable, and hands-on, with a practical mindset and the ability to help with maintenance, DIY, tech, or anything involving tools. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and working in teams with a positive, respectful attitude.
