Hi everyone! :)
I’m Irene, I’m 24 years old, I come from Italy, and this will be my very first Workaway experience.

I grew up in a big and lively family, which naturally taught me the beauty of sharing spaces, collaborating, and helping each other out in daily life.

One of the main reasons I want to start this experience is to become more confident speaking English. Sometimes shyness held me back from fully stepping into new environments, and I feel like this is the right moment to challenge myself, grow, and meet people from different cultures.

I have a background in visual communication and design, and I love creative projects and photography. At the same time, I’ve always needed to stay connected to simple, practical things. Growing up in Scouting taught me adaptability and respect for nature, and I still love spending time outdoors and being active.

More than classic tourism, I’m interested in experiencing authentic daily life: sharing routines, meals, and conversations. I’m a bit shy at first, but once I feel comfortable I become very open, curious, and easygoing.

I can’t wait to meet new people, share experiences, and help out with your project while practicing my English! :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My background is mainly in visual communication and creative work.
I recently completed a Master’s degree in Visual Communication and Art Direction, after a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and New Media for Fashion. Through my studies and personal projects, I gained experience in graphic design, photography, visual communication, editorial design and content creation.

I can also help with creating content for social media and small communication projects (photos, visuals, simple content planning and creative support).

Outside of my studies, I’ve always been used to helping in everyday life. Growing up in a big family taught me how to organize things, adapt easily and collaborate with others.
I also enjoy practical and outdoor activities. Through Scouting and my family’s vegetable garden, I’ve gained experience helping with gardening, watering, weeding and taking care of outdoor spaces. I enjoy practical work and I learn quickly.

I’m happy to help with everyday tasks such as cleaning, organizing spaces, cooking and helping around the house.
