Hi, my name is Iona! I am from the South of England and have recently graduated from university with a degree in Graphic Design where I focused on sustainable and nature-driven design. I am an enthusiastic, adventurous, creative, and curious individual who loves spending time in nature learning through foraging, curating, and engaging, with our natural world. I am an animal lover and have always been interested in conservation. I am passionate about respecting and protecting the environment and looking for new ways to reduce my impact on the environment. I am sociable and positive, always open to learning new skills and meeting new people from other cultures and backgrounds. I want to learn more about growing produce and self-sufficient practices. I love to cook plant-based food, especially experimenting with seasonal and local produce and trying to eliminate as much food waste as possible. I enjoy staying active through running, hiking, and yoga and love water-based activities like swimming and paddle boarding.

As a recent graduate, I am seeking opportunities to connect with people and projects to develop my understanding and broaden my knowledge through new adventures. I appreciate travel and how it can open pathways and I enjoy having the ability to explore new places and identities. Being immersed and connecting with our natural world is something I am passionate about, working outdoors and engaging in hands-on work appeals to my get up-and-go attitude to life and I am not afraid of hard work!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have been a qualified lifeguard for six years, and since graduating have been working full-time in a school. I am considered a team player and have gained valuable skills in first aid, and safeguarding and work well under pressure.
I can offer a creative way of thinking and problem-solving, which I developed throughout my degree. My skills include cooking and getting creative with anything from online graphics to painting walls or interior design! I am constantly developing my knowlege on the natural world and what we can learn from it. I am practical when it comes to DIY and using what resources I have avalible. I am active and have previously volunteered with teaching sports and spent many years in the adventure Scouts including being a young leader, from this I gained experince working with children. I also love getting things organised and creating producvtive systems! I also have experience working in hospitality and shops and would consider myslef a people person.
