Description

Two reliable, straight, uncomplicated, self motivated, very old school brothers who have abandoned the rat race.

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2023

Eric has had to go back to the US and will probably be gone for at least a year so we are now in two separate locations.

Patrick is currently in UK.

Patrick is highly skilled in many areas including constructing houses, plumbing, electrics, online sales, marketing, Business start-ups, operating and maintaining many kinds of machines, from heavy equipment to helicopters.

If you can agree that twenty hours a week from a professional multi skilled quality craftsman is a more than fair exchange for food and accommodation you will be more than satisfied with his work.

We are really only interested in hosts who are able to employ Patrick’s skillset.

Eric has experience in organic gardening, cooking, quick books accounting, online sales and also has a little social media and financial investment experience.

If you are comfortable with strong characters and are looking for reliable capable straight self sufficient innovative diligent hands who have lived in more than thirty countries and volunteered for years in the Third World you will find us of benefit to you.

We are not overly social although we are at home in good company.

Good company to us is content with their lot in life, has no fears and gets enjoyment from helping those less fortunate than themselves.

We are flexible and ready for all work from cleaning bathrooms to cooking to caring for the elderly or pampering pets.

We love animals and happy well behaved respectful children.

We prefer hosts with separate accommodation from the main house like a trailer or cabin or tent etc.

WARNING;

We are always open to helping in emergencies, like power outages, burst pipes, leaking roofs etc, but sadly some hosts consider planting vegetables or erecting fences or picking fruit or collecting firewood to be emergencies.

If you are looking for a mutually beneficial two way working relationship based on mutual respect we provide excellent service and skills of a breadth and measure few can match.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We have developed several successful start up businesses and are experienced in web site building, marketing, computer repair, internet marketing and quick books accounting.
We can cook, garden, do plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, automotive repair and arc/mig welding.
Experience operating and maintaining tractors, front end loaders, trackhoe excavators and industrial screening plants. We have set up and managed a successful farm top soil and composting operation and have grown our own organic vegetables.
We are content to care for animals, the disadvantaged and the elderly.
We are young for our ages and both physically strong and in good health.
We have third world volunteer experience

  We keep a simple diet (generally cooking our own food), as one of us is sensitive to certain foods and preservatives. We are not averse to other people’s home made meals that take account of this constraint.
