What's up! My name is Grayson, I'm 22 years old from Louisville, Kentucky. I will be graduating from college this May, and planning a workaway trip to Hawaii this summer, reach out if you are too!

Description

Hello! My name is Grayson, I am 22 years old and I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. I am currently a senior at Purdue University in Indiana, and I will be graduating this May with a degree in Aviation, with career goals to become an airline pilot. However, before I begin my professional career, I am looking to spend a month or two in Hawaii experiencing a cultural work exchange through workaway.

My greatest passion in life is travel and adventure, and I am most fulfilled by meaningful connection with people and places through immersive travel experiences beyond just visiting and touring a new place. Last spring, I was fortunate enough to live on an Italian homestead with a host family as my first workaway, and it was one of the most transformative and rewarding experiences of my life up to this point.

I have been hoping to find another workaway experience since I left the farm, and I am beyond thrilled to have the time now after graduation. I am a very active, adventurous, adaptable, open-minded, and respectful person, and I am eager to learn and offer any sort of help or assistance needed on site. I am hoping for a 1-2 month stay from mid May through early July 2026. Beyond excited for this adventure ahead!

- I am senior in college at Purdue graduating in may with a degree in Aviation Managment
- I have my pilot's license and my professional goal is to become an airline captain
- I completed a workaway in Italy at a farm homestead and assisted with animal care, wood chopping, cooking, fence restoration and building, and childcare
- I have worked in a warehouse moving heavy packages and facilitating containers
- I have worked in many restaurants as a server, barback, busser, and dock server
- I am very good with kids and was a babysitter for many summers, taking care of a 3 and 6 year old
- I love animals and watch dogs and housesit for family and friends very often
- I have worked on many house repair and yardwork projects such as painting, building ramps, staircases, and fences, as well as trimming bushes and various yardwork tasks

I am very versatile and a quick learner. I love the outdoors and nature, and am interested in learning to surf. I love hiking, exploring, camping, climbing, traveling, and anything with an adrenaline rush.
