Description

Gidday.
I'm Garry, a 62yo Australian man who realised a few years ago that there's a big, beautiful world out there that I have only seen a very small part of.
I enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures, foods and sights.
My time in Asia doing yoga, Qi Gong and Tai Chi taught me about energy and the benefits of healthy eating and being connected to our planet Earth.
I'm neat & tidy and believe in doing a job properly the first time.
I'm single and backpack alone. I don't have a vehicle at the moment but may purchase one if I can obtain registration and insurance.

I left my old lifestyle behind me (I used to believe that my job, house, car, motorcycle, sport, horse racing, etc were important and central to my lifestyle - not anymore. I know that all these things only brought me false, superficial happiness).
I now know that people are important along with the relationships that I have with them.
I look forward to helping others with their projects while sharing their home with them whether it be for a week or a month or two.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I worked as an electronics technician for 20 years in Australia before working as a Wardsman (Orderly) in hospitals for 12 years.
I've always been electrically and mechanically minded.
I'm competent using manual and electric tools as well as using mowers, whipper snippers, etc.
I'm confident working with both wood and metal.
Although my trade was electronics, my hobby is mechanical.
I don't mind a challenge and am used to problem-solving and coming up with solutions to repair, modify or construct from scratch.
Although not qualified as a teacher, I can teach English to both adults and children (but please don't blame me if you or your child starts talking with an Australian accent).
